Section 1 — Our Commitment

PoolStake is an entertainment platform. While we strive to provide fun and engaging experiences, we recognize that for some individuals, certain entertainment platforms can contribute to problematic behavior patterns. PoolStake is committed to:

  • Providing clear, accessible tools that allow users to manage and limit their engagement and spending.
  • Making problem gambling resources easily accessible at all times.
  • Preventing underage access to the Platform.
  • Training team members to recognize and respond to signs of problem gambling.
  • Never targeting advertising to individuals who have self-excluded or set spending limits.
Section 2 — Self-Exclusion

Any registered user may voluntarily exclude themselves from some or all features of the Platform at any time. PoolStake offers the following self-exclusion periods:

  • 30-day exclusion: Temporary break with automatic reinstatement after period ends.
  • 90-day exclusion: Extended break.
  • 180-day exclusion: Long-term break.
  • Permanent exclusion: Irreversible. Permanent self-exclusion cannot be undone under any circumstances.

During any self-exclusion period, the following features are suspended: Gold Coin purchases, membership subscription upgrades, pool entries, and Monthly Drawing participation. Basic account access for non-purchase features remains available.

Self-exclusion periods cannot be reduced or cancelled during the active period. Only permanent self-exclusion is fully irreversible. To initiate self-exclusion: navigate to Account Settings > Responsible Play > Self-Exclusion, or contact hello@poolstake.app with the subject line "Self-Exclusion Request." Self-exclusion takes effect within twenty-four (24) hours of request confirmation.

Section 3 — Spending Controls

All registered users may set voluntary spending limits on Gold Coin purchases. The following limits are available:

  • Daily limit: Maximum Gold Coin purchase spend per calendar day.
  • Weekly limit: Maximum Gold Coin purchase spend per rolling seven-day period.
  • Monthly limit: Maximum Gold Coin purchase spend per calendar month.
  • Spending limits take effect immediately upon activation.
  • Limit decreases take effect immediately.
  • Limit increases are subject to a mandatory twenty-four (24) hour cooling-off period before taking effect.

PoolStake will honor all user-set spending limits without exception.

Section 4 — Reality Checks

Users may enable optional reality check reminders that display a notification after a defined period of platform activity. Available intervals include 30 minutes, 60 minutes, and 90 minutes.

When a reality check is triggered, users are shown their current session duration and may choose to continue or end their session. Reality checks can be enabled, disabled, or adjusted at any time through Account Settings.

Section 5 — Account Activity Summary

All users have access to the following account activity tools at any time:

  • Complete Gold Coin purchase history with dates, amounts, and items purchased.
  • Total spend summary by week, month, and year.
  • Time spent on platform per session and cumulatively.
  • All pool entries and drawing participations with dates.
  • All prize winnings received.

Users may request a full account activity export by contacting hello@poolstake.app.

Section 6 — Underage Access Prevention

PoolStake strictly prohibits access by persons under the age of eighteen (18). We employ the following measures to prevent underage access:

  • Age confirmation required at registration. Users must confirm they are at least 18 years of age.
  • Enhanced age verification required before any Gold Coin purchase or prize claim.
  • Accounts found to belong to persons under 18 will be immediately terminated and all balances forfeited.

We encourage parents and guardians to use parental control software to prevent underage access to online platforms.

Section 7 — Recognizing Problem Gambling

Problem gambling can affect anyone. Common signs include:

  • Spending more time or money on gambling/gaming than intended.
  • Feeling unable to stop or cut back.
  • Gambling to escape problems or relieve feelings of stress.
  • Borrowing money to fund gambling.
  • Lying to family or friends about gambling.
  • Neglecting work, school, or family responsibilities due to gambling.
  • Feeling anxious, irritable, or restless when not gambling.

If you recognize any of these signs in yourself or someone you know, we encourage you to seek help immediately. These signs apply equally to social gaming and sweepstakes platforms.

PoolStake will never prevent a user from accessing these resources. Links to responsible gambling resources are displayed on all Gold Coin purchase pages and in Account Settings.

Section 9 — Responsible Marketing

PoolStake is committed to responsible marketing practices including:

  • We do not target advertising to users who have self-excluded.
  • We do not target advertising to users who have set spending limits that suggest financial concern.
  • All promotional materials clearly state that the Platform is for entertainment purposes and that no purchase is necessary to participate in sweepstakes.
  • We do not advertise in venues primarily attended by persons under 18 years of age.
  • We do not make misleading claims about the probability of winning.
Section 10 — International Users — Enhanced Requirements

For international users accessing the Platform under applicable gaming licenses, the following additional responsible gambling requirements apply in accordance with Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) regulations and other applicable licensing requirements:

  • Mandatory deposit limits: International real money users must set a deposit limit before making their first deposit.
  • Session time limits available in addition to spending limits.
  • Cooling-off periods of 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days available in addition to full self-exclusion.
  • Mandatory responsible gambling information displayed at every deposit screen.
  • Third-party self-exclusion database enrollment where required by applicable licensing authority.
  • Enhanced monitoring for signs of problem gambling patterns in real money transactions.
