Section 1 — The PoolStake Community Values
PoolStake is a social platform built on fairness, transparency, and community. These Community Guidelines and Acceptable Use Policy ("Guidelines") describe how we expect all users to conduct themselves on the Platform. These Guidelines are incorporated into and form part of the PoolStake Terms of Service.
We built PoolStake on three core community values:
Fairness
Every user gets an equal shot. Pool mechanics are transparent. No manipulation, no cheating.
Respect
Every user deserves to be treated with dignity. No harassment, no hate, no threats.
Transparency
Honest engagement only. No deception, no false claims, no impersonation.
Section 2 — Permitted Conduct
The following uses of the Platform are permitted and encouraged:
- Creating public and private lottery pools and inviting friends to participate.
- Creating prediction markets on verifiable real-world events.
- Engaging in peer-to-peer social bets on verifiable outcomes (international users only where permitted).
- Sharing win cards and pool results on social media.
- Referring friends and family through your unique referral link.
- Providing constructive feedback on the platform through the appropriate channels.
- Participating in public leaderboards and community features.
Section 3 — Prohibited Conduct
The following conduct is strictly prohibited and will result in enforcement action, up to and including permanent account termination:
3.1 Account & Identity Violations
- Creating more than one (1) PoolStake account per person.
- Providing false, misleading, or inaccurate account registration information.
- Impersonating any other person, user, or entity on the Platform.
- Accessing or using another user's account without authorization.
- Creating accounts on behalf of third parties without their knowledge.
3.2 Sweepstakes & Pool Integrity Violations
- Using automated software, bots, scripts, or any other automated tool to enter pools, earn Sweeps Entries, or interact with the Platform.
- Attempting to purchase, sell, trade, or transfer Sweeps Entries outside the methods permitted by the Official Rules.
- Collusion with other users to manipulate pool outcomes, prediction market resolutions, or social bet outcomes.
- Attempting to claim multiple pool slots in violation of the one-slot-per-person rule.
- Submitting fraudulent mail-in entry requests, including bulk-submitted or automated requests.
3.3 Prediction Market & Social Betting Violations
- Creating markets on outcomes that are not objectively verifiable by reference to publicly available information.
- Creating markets with the intent to manipulate the outcome.
- Using non-public, material information to gain an unfair advantage in prediction markets (analogous to insider trading).
- Creating markets on outcomes that involve illegal activity.
- Refusing to pay the outcome of a peer-to-peer social bet in bad faith.
3.4 Harassment & Harmful Content
- Harassing, threatening, stalking, or intimidating any other user.
- Posting or transmitting hate speech, discriminatory content, or content that demeans individuals based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
- Sharing another user's personal information without their consent (doxxing).
- Encouraging self-harm or suicide.
- Posting sexually explicit or obscene content.
3.5 Technical Violations
- Attempting to reverse engineer, decompile, or hack the Platform.
- Attempting to circumvent geographic restrictions through VPNs, proxies, or other means.
- Uploading viruses, malware, or any malicious code.
- Interfering with the proper functioning of the Platform or other users' access.
3.6 Commercial & Spam Violations
- Sending unsolicited commercial messages or spam to other users.
- Posting advertising or promotional content for third-party products without PoolStake's written permission.
- Using the Platform to conduct or promote pyramid schemes, multi-level marketing, or similar activities.
Section 4 — User-Generated Content Standards
Pool names, prediction market descriptions, social bet titles, and any other user-generated content submitted to the Platform must comply with the following standards:
- Content must be in English or another language supported by the Platform.
- Content must not contain profanity, hate speech, or content prohibited under Section 3.4.
- Content must not reference real, identifiable individuals in a defamatory or harassing manner.
- Content must accurately describe the pool or market it represents.
- Prediction market and social bet descriptions must clearly describe a verifiable real-world outcome.
PoolStake reserves the right to remove any user-generated content that violates these standards at its sole discretion, without notice or liability.
Section 5 — Reporting Violations
If you encounter content or behavior that violates these Guidelines, please report it using the reporting function available on every user-generated item on the Platform (the flag or report icon).
Alternatively, email hello@poolstake.app with a description of the violation and the relevant username, pool name, or content URL.
We will review all reports and take appropriate action within three (3) business days.
Section 6 — Enforcement
PoolStake reserves the right to take the following enforcement actions, singly or in combination, in response to violations of these Guidelines:
- Warning: A formal written notice that a violation has occurred.
- Content removal: Removal of offending content without further action.
- Temporary suspension: Account suspended for a defined period (24 hours to 30 days).
- Permanent termination: Account permanently closed with forfeiture of all balances.
- Legal referral: Reporting to appropriate law enforcement where criminal conduct is suspected.
PoolStake's enforcement decisions are made at its sole discretion. The severity of the enforcement action will be proportionate to the nature and severity of the violation, though PoolStake reserves the right to permanently terminate accounts for serious violations without prior warning.
Section 7 — Appeals
If you believe your account was suspended or terminated in error, you may appeal the decision by submitting a written appeal to hello@poolstake.app within seven (7) days of the enforcement action, with the subject line "Enforcement Appeal — [Your Username]."
Please include your account username and a clear explanation of why you believe the enforcement action was made in error.
PoolStake will review appeals and respond within seven (7) business days. Appeals are reviewed at PoolStake's sole discretion and the final decision is binding.
